The state board of education has named an Indian Valley educator as the area’s teacher of the year
The recognition also has the opportunity to go on to hold the title for the entire state.
High school social studies teacher Aaron Davis has been selected as the state board district 8 teacher of the year for 2025.
Davis says the recognition is truly an honor.
“I am extremely humbled. Very excited. There’s a lot of teachers from our area and I’m just proud to be representing it.”
Indian valley superintendent Ira Wentworth says the district’s administrative staff nominated Davis.
Davis is one of 11 regional nominees in all. Four will soon be selected as finalists for the 2025 Ohio teacher of the year award that’ll be presented later in the year.
