Uhrichsville Fire lost one of their own on Saturday following a brief illness.
Rocky Dryden was a retired firefighter-EMT, having served the city of Uhrichsville for 33 years before stepping down in 2016.
Born in 1955, the 69-year-old graduated from Claymont High School in 1973, immediately stepping into the firefighter career.
Over the years, according to a post by the department, he taught safety to children, while early in his career was working at Uhrichsville Fire and United Ambulance. He was also a member of Tusky and Dennison Volunteer Fire Departments.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, with firemen service at 7:30pm.
Funeral Services will be held at 8pm at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home in Uhrichsville.
