Christopher J. “Chris” Reed, 53, of Mineral City, Ohio, passed away suddenly at home on September 5, 2024.

Born on March 28, 1971, in Massillon, he was the son of Terry and Rosalie (Miller) Reed of Dover.

Chris attended Buckeye Career Center, where he developed skills that would serve him well throughout his life. He was known for his vibrant personality; a true dreamer who embraced life with passion and enthusiasm.

A nature enthusiast at heart, Chris found great joy in activities that allowed him to connect with the outdoors. He was an avid kayaker, and passionate fisherman, often seeking solace and adventure in the natural world around him.

One of his proudest achievements was building his own home—a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. He was a talented blacksmith, woodworker, and carpenter, with a creative spirit that brought beauty and functionality to the objects he crafted.

He was a man of faith and loved his family above all else.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his children; Brooke (Chad) Gibson of Dover, Harley (Andrue) Nolen of Dover, and Chris Reed Jr. of Mineral City; his beloved grandchildren, Eli, Aubriella, Allison, Aniston, Cash, and Romey; his brother, Daniel Reed; along with his niece, Madison Reed.
