Bidders in the arena and online have been showing their generosity to the 4-h kids with projects in this year’s livestock sales at the Tuscarawas County Fair.
At Thursday’s large animal sale, the Kimble companies had the winning bid for the grand champion steer belonging to Kenny Welch of the Buckhorn Bandits 4-h club, paying 10 dollars a pound.
The reserve champion steer belonging to Reide Black of Buckhorn Bandits also sold for 10 dollars a pound, to W.M. Commercial Roofing.
The steer sales were followed by lambs and hogs.
The in-person only dairy sale is this afternoon, in the main show arena, starting at 3pm.
