Ohio state graduates in the area are getting recognized for their volunteerism and scholarship fundraising capabilities.
Ohio state alumni club of Tuscarawas county president Martha Campbell says the Ohio State University Alumni Association recently named her group its “2024 Club of the Year.”
“We were just over the top thrilled when we found out that we have received this honor. It’s a very positive thing.”
She says to be in the running for the award, a club must offer a range of programs that serve local buckeyes past and present and get them involved in the community.
“We do try and serve as many people as we possibly can. We try so many different events to try and get different people involved.”
Campbell says the association also named her club’s ‘de-stress and reset’ program as an outstanding program of 2024. The program involved a video of a yoga instructor showing some movements that can be done from home while sitting in a chair.
