Tammy Kaye Houston, 52, of Dennison passed away September 30, 2024, from an apparent health issue at her home.

Tammy was born November 7, 1971, in Dover to Norma Jane (Hooker) Dorsey and the late Michael Eugene Dorsey.

After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1990, she continued her formal education ultimately completing her Master of Education degree at Kent State University.

Tammy used her teaching skills to educate kindergarten through 6th grade students at Port Washington where she taught computer. When she and her husband Ken were blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Jenna, she devoted her life to nurturing and caring for her family.

She had a very successful career as an Executive Director with Pampered Chef. Tammy also enjoyed traveling, vacationing every year at North Myrtle Beach, and going to Disney World with her family and watching Jenna enjoy herself.

Tammy will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenneth J. Houston; daughter, Jenna Houston; her son and daughter, Kaitlyn Houston of Jewett and Colton (Maribeth) Houston of Cambridge; her mother, Norma Jane Dorsey; her sister, Tanya (Heather Howdyshell) Dorsey of Lakewood; and her grandson, Cline.

In addition to her father, Mike; she was preceded in death by her brother, Ty Allan Dorsey, who passed away September 10, 1995.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 6:45 p.m. Father Jeff Coning will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Dennison.

Memorial contributions in Tammy’s memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
