Kimberly Lisa Fitzpatrick formerly Kim George (57) passed away at home peacefully October 5th 2024 with her courageous battle with ALS. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 12th 1967 to Ruth Stotts and Dale George. Kim is preceded in death by her dad Dale George, infant brother Kevin George, and brother-in-law Lloyd Treadway, aunts Orletta McClough and Marcella McGee.
She is survived by her loving husband of 6 years Jim Fitzpatrick, her mom Ruth Stotts, sister Kelly Treadway, mother in law Jane Fitzpatrick, sister in law Sarah (Lance Foster) Fitzpatrick, step father Boyd Potts, her loving children Ashley (Tommy) Duemmel, Mandy (Kylie) Dennis and A.J. (Sarah) Dennis and step son Andy Fitzpatrick and 5 grandchild who she greatly adored Josie, Sadie, Iris, Storm and Ashton, and niece Sabrina (Todd) Waxler and great nieces and great nephew- Emma, Jacey and Kolton Waxler and cousin Aaron George from Illinois, and several aunts and uncles.
Her amazing friend and caregiver Kathy (Duane) Wright, and friends Shelly (Charles) Perry and Kathy Land.
Kim went to Maysville High school, graduated in 1985, and was most proud of winning the 1985 state softball championship with her fellow teammates. She had worked at Lear Corporation , before graduating from Muskingum Area Technical College as CMA, she previously worked at Genesis behavioral unit, Rheumatology Consultants and All Well Behavioral Health.
Kim always had a smile on her face even in the worst times with ALS, she would always say light the world up with a smile, she brought love and positivity to everyone she met.
Her hobbies included listening to Trace Adkins, watching her grandchildren, camping, going to wineries, ATV rides and watching her husband sing and play guitar. She loved sunflowers. She faithfully attended The First Baptist church of Newcomerstown, Her family would like to thank The Crossroads Hospice and Palliative team for all of their help in her final days.
As Kim would say continue to light up the world with a smile.
In lieu of flowers, Kim has asked for donations to be made to the First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown (135 S River St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832) for the Youth kids Sunday school.
Funeral Services for Kim will be held on Friday October 11, 2024 at 3 pm at the First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown at 135 S River St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12 to 3 pm, at the church.
