Two October concerts will be held at Tusky Valley high school’s performing arts center as a fundraiser and to bring the community together.
It started a few years ago, says school educator Craig Lieser, after talking with the pastor at Bolivar Community Church, and the event raised funds to help in the aftermath of the Tusky Valley bus accident.
He notes that the goal is to continue to provide these concerts as a fundraiser.
“Just carrying it on and trying to help out the Tusky Valley band with these two concerts and start some scholarships for Tusky Valley band members who want to go to college. That’s what we’re going to do with the proceeds this year.”
Tickets for the 7pm Saturday, October 12th concert are $25.
“We have Consumed by Fire, [and guests] Caleb and John and Allison Eide coming in. That is a tour, they actually called us and wanted to come so Tusky Valley high school is more than welcome to all them to come in.”
The second concert, featuring Seph Schlueter on Sunday, October 27th, at 6pm, has tickets available for $10.
For both events, an hour prior, food trucks will be set up. Seating is limited and tickets can be purchased by searching Bolivar seatyourself.biz.
