Alcohol is now allowed in designated cups during certain events in downtown New Philadelphia.
Sunday’s installment of Art on the Alley was the first to take place in the city’s newly established designated outdoor refreshment area.
Mayor Joel Day was asked about it during Monday’s city council meeting and said he wasn’t aware of any problems.
Business owner Jim Knisely with the np-act group was contacting DORA participants to find out how many cups they sold during the event.
Art on the alley organizers say Sunday’s event was the most well-attended to date, rivaling the crowd at first Fridays in downtown canton.
