Uhrichsville council agreed to take money from the water park fund to replace a feature near the slides.

Matt Fox was acting council president, but is also chairman of the park committee, and wanted to spend up to $10,000 to put a new rubber fence around the waterpark slides, preferably by the end of November. Fox noted the park fund has about $84,000.

The city was the recipient of a Reeves Foundation grant, pointed out Mayor Jim Zucal, but Fox pushed for those dollars to be used for a storage building.

“The way it’s worded, I don’t think she talked about enough money for the building itself, and she wasn’t to use some of that money toward that, but if we money in the park fund. I think it was listed for $10,000 and I don’t know what kind of building you’re going to get for that money. That was the issue that the money was restricted for that building.”

The Service Director noted the grant is able to purchase a 16×20 foot shed.

Fox made a motion, which was briefly questioned since an acting council president doesn’t vote on matters, before council unanimously approved the expenditure out of the water park account.
