Ellen Louise Parrish, known by family and friends as Louise, a lifelong Uhrichsville, Ohio resident, passed away at the age of 87 with her loving family at her side in the Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born November 17, 1936 in Uhrichsville, she was the daughter of the late William Jasper Keith and Mary Dorothy (Gallagher) Keith-Alexander.

On September 23, 1953, Louise married Charles Ray “Chuck” Parrish, beginning her life’s work as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She and Chuck enjoyed over six decades of loving marriage before his passing on March 28, 2015. Louise will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her commitment to her community as a longtime volunteer at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, and her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a member at Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville. She loved flowers and spent many happy hours arranging them for friends, family, and her church.

Louise will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her sons, Steven (Allen Murphy) Parrish and Kevin (Anisa) Parrish; daughter, Gail Parrish; grandchildren, Mike (Serenity) Parrish, Melissa (Jason) Knight, Jason (Melissa) Parrish, Tyler Parrish, and Brittany (Steven) Sanner; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many brothers and sisters in Christ at Bethel Worship Center. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Greg and Kelly Parrish; daughter-in-law, Mary Parrish; granddaughter, Stacey Parrish; great-grandson, Bret Knight; and siblings, Benjamin Keith and Leona Urban.

Pastor John Stevenson will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Monday, November 11, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Her family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. She will be interred beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring Louise’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society and Ohio’s Hospice Foundation.
