There’s an opportunity for folks in Dennison and Uhrichsville to help feed their community this thanksgiving.
The Twin City Ministerial Association is seeking volunteers beginning Wednesday to prepare and serve a Thanksgiving Day feast for anyone in need.
Bethel Worship Center’s John Stevenson is overseeing the yearly effort following the retirement of longtime Uhrichsville First Presbyterian’s Mark Unrue.
He says providing a thanksgiving meal to between 600 and 800 people requires 45 turkeys and 200 cans of vegetables.
The meal is Thursday, from noon until 2, at the Methodist Church on Dawson Street in Uhrichsville. Volunteers are needed both Wednesday and Thursday, and people can sign up by calling the church at 740-922-3881.
Meal delivery is available within the twin cities and surrounding areas. To get on the list, call the church and leave a message with name, address, phone number, the number of meals needed, and any dietary restrictions.
