Transforming Tales: Exploring Culture and the Animal Within Unique Conversation with Rachel Yoder hosted by Johnson Humrickhouse Museum (JHM)

Join Johnson Humrickhouse Museum (JHM) on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:30 pm with Rachel Yoder, author of the critically acclaimed novel Nightbitch (Doubleday, 2021), now a major motion picture starring Amy Adams. Yoder, who grew up in Coshocton County and worked at JHM as a teenager, will join them via Zoom for a special exploration of her novel’s themes. They’ll highlight Native American and Asian artifacts from their collection, using the to delve into origin and transformation stories from various cultures. How do these stories, like that of a woman transforming into a dog in Nightbitch, influence our view of humanity? Join them in the Special Exhibit Gallery to find out if animal stories, ancient and modern, can help us to be better humans. Admission to the program both in-person and via Zoom is $5.00.
