Enjoy a live nativity scene, parade, go on a run/walk, or visit with Santa in the Village of Strasburg.
Christmas in the Village is back on Saturday, December 15th and begins with The Rudolph Run 5k at 10am, says Chair Justin Hite.
“The route starts at the administration building of Strasburg Elementary School. It will go down Bodmer, it’ll go up Garber Drive through Central and then down Strasburg Dundee Road and back to Tiger Driver.”
Run/walk registration is $35 prior to December 13th and then $40 after, which can be done on www.runsignup.com.
The parade begins at 4pm, with registration an hour prior, followed by the live nativity scene, at St. John United Church of Christ, opens at 5pm.
The best parking place will be at Strasburg School, since golf carts will transport visitors to the Fire Department to meet Santa and to the church, says Event Director Elizabeth Slater.
“There’s also live music in the cookie tent when you’re enjoying your coffee and hot chocolate, and I’d also like to say how much we appreciate all the volunteers that make this event happen.”
Money from the 5k and a shirt fundraiser goes back to the Strasburg PTG. Find more information on the Strasburg’s Christmas in the Village Facebook page.
