Therese “Ann” Youmans, 98, of Dover passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.
Born on July 16, 1926, in Dover, Ann was the daughter of the late Lester and Catherine Donahoe Doutt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Youmans on December 1, 2012; brothers, Ralph “Bud”, David, Neil, and Lester J. “Jack” Doutt; and son-in-law, Norman M. Fischer.
A life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ann exemplified the values of kindness and compassion throughout her life. She had a passion for playing bridge and was an active, and founding, member of her bridge club. A gathering of her friends that she enjoyed for decades.
Ann was not only a devoted mother but also embraced her roles as grandmother and great-grandmother with immense pride. She is survived by her children, Susan (Brian) Klann of Dennison, Barbara Fischer of Aurora, and Michael (Tawnya) Youmans of Olmsted Township. Ann leaves behind grandchildren, Michelle Klann, Deborah (Dave) Williams, Jeremy (Julie) Fischer, Joe Fischer, Casandra (Mike) Forbes, Kelsey (Michael) Shibko, Matthew (Kayla) Youmans, and Stephanie (William) Brown. Ann’s legacy continues through her ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 21st starting at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery at Dover. The family will be greeting friends on Saturday in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
