An upcoming event can help meet New Year’s fitness goals while supporting a worthwhile cause.
The 2025 run for home is April 5th and 6th at Tuscora Park to benefit Habitat for Humanity of East Central Ohio.
Matt Ritzert directs the two-day fundraiser that features 5 and 10k races, a one-mile walk or run, team relay, and half-marathon. He says early-bird registration is going well with over 200 participants signed up so far.
For the schedule and registration link, visit runforhome.org. Ritzert says the fee goes up if you wait until the weekend of the event.
They’re also offering a discount to anyone who donates 25-dollars or more to habitat when they register as well as those who sign-up for both the 10k and half-marathon.
It’s the 18th year for the event, which has raised around 270-thousand-dollars so far to help the organization build homes for local families.
