Sheila Kay Mutti, age 59, of Stone Creek, died early, Saturday, February 8, 2025, while in the care of Ohio Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in Union Hospital at Dover on January 25, 1966, Sheila was the daughter of the late Donald Dean and Roberta Syler Beamer.
She was a 1984 graduate of the former Indian Valley North High School and on October 13, 1984, she married the love of her life, Kevin Mutti.
Sheila was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mom, and grandma to her family. When not working on the family’s dairy farm, she enjoyed being an advisor for the Milkmakers 4H club, and serving on the 4-H Dairy Committee. She had previously been active with the Buckeye Young Farmers and in the early 1990s was named Ohio Young Farmer Woman of the Year. She was a longtime member of Jerusalem Church where she had previously led numerous Vacation Bible School programs and was a member of the Esther Circle.
Sheila occupied her free time with sewing and gardening projects. She loved helping others with various dress fittings and loved taking time to tend to her flower gardens and lawn around her home.
Sheila’s selfless nature will long be remembered by her beloved husband of 40 years, Kevin; their three children, Christine (Sean Carr) of Zoarville, Clarissa Mutti, and Clark (Casey) Mutti all of Stone Creek; her grandson, whom she loved to spoil, Dean Mutti; her brother, Ricky (Vicki) Beamer of Dover; her niece, Audrea (Kyle) Yoder, their daughter, Addi, and her nephew, Carson (Abbi) Beamer, and their son, Porter.
Completing the family are her mother-in-law, Rachel Mutti of Stone Creek; a brother-in-law, Keith (Lori) Mutti, and her nieces and nephew, Leah, Noel, Noah, and Kylee.
In addition to her mother and father, Sheila was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Vernon Mutti.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 AM in the Jerusalem Church with Rev. Dr. Tom Hendershot officiating. The family will greet guests in the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
