Stephen B. Elliott, 77, of New Philadelphia, formerly Strasburg, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1947, in Newcomerstown to the late Robert A. and Hazel I. (Hoyt) Elliott.
Stephen grew up and played football in Newcomerstown where he met his former wife (Jill). Stephen later went on to further his education at Ohio Northern University, obtaining a business degree and later served with the U.S. Army at Fort Mac Arthur as military Police in California. After discharge, Stephen returned to Ohio to raise his family and begin a long career in Pharmaceutical Sales. In his downtime, he loved to fish, be outdoors, and watch football with his family and friends. Stephen was known for being a hard-working individual with a generous and giving spirit. In his later years, Stephen openly shared his love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and his love for us with others. He also served locally as well as going on mission trips.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his two children, Jill Duhamel; his children, Jason Elliott (Susan) of Powell and Jennifer (Dave) Woodard of Columbus; grandson, Cameron Woodard of Columbus; sister, Judy (Bill) Bell of Chandler, AZ.
Along with his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his brother, Tom (Jean) Elliott.
Funeral services for Stephen will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with Pastor Dave VanDonge officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service.
