A local city announced their road work plans for this year.

Uhrichsville’s Mayor Jim Zucal informed council of the decision to repave a roughly 0.6 mile stretch of North Water Street extension.

“We’re going to do that portion from Dover Phila Credit Union basically all the way out to the flashing light [at Indian Hill Road] and that’s going to be over $100,000 and that’ll be the bulk of our paving money this year.”

Service Director Cade Watkins added that a few other locations will get attention too.

“Then we’re also looking on the westside [including] south McConnell and doing 4th Street by the Eagles and all the way to the Elks too.”

Improving alley’s was unknown but Zucal said, if money allows, the plan is to grade them and patch.

Uhrichsville has a budget of roughly $200,000 thanks to a voted-on levy.
