A local city continues celebrating following a softball win.
In school history, the Dover Crimson Tornado’s won their first state championship in Division III.
The Saturday night game from Akron Firestone Stadium was a 10-0, 6-inning win against Holland Springfield.
Coach Hannah Duff called it a total team victory, and “truly incredible. Eighteen girls that we’re proud of and trust, and it’s just incredible.”
Meanwhile, the Garaway Pirates’ softball season ended Sunday as they became state runners-up in Division 6. They fell to Tri-Village.
