Ralph Ronald “Ronnie” Dague Jr., 82, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, following a period of declining health. Born December 4, 1942 in Uhrichsville, he was the last surviving son of the late Ralph Ronald Dague Sr. and Laura Margaret (Evans) Dague-Scott, having been preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Jerry Dague.

Ronnie was a lifelong area resident and 1960 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. He started his working life as a miner in local coal mines before becoming a truck mechanic. He then spent 27 years in the employ of Stocker Trucking until his retirement. In his free time, Ronnie enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, and looking for arrowheads. He was a huge NASCAR fan and especially loved cheering for Dale Earnhardt. He took great pride in his lawn and loved to mow his grass, and he could often be found tinkering in his garage. A true prankster at heart, Ronnie never failed to put a smile on the faces of his family and friends with his jokes and antics.

On February 26, 1967, Ronnie married Jeanette Arrean (Jenkins) Dague with whom he enjoyed 53 years of loving marriage until her passing on May 3, 2020. He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Lisa) Dague and David (Dee) Dague; daughters, Kim (Chuck) Baker, Kelly Kaltenbaugh, and Karen Kaltenbaugh; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren – who lovingly called him “Pap” – were the light of his life.

Following cremation, Ronnie’s family will celebrate his life privately, as per his wishes. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to a charity of their choice, in lieu of flowers.
