Three males were rescued Sunday evening following a call advising they were stuck in the water.
At roughly 6:30pm, Newcomerstown Fire Department, along with Arrowhead Joint and Tri-County Joint Ambulance responded in the area of River Street bridge. A release says the males were roughly 2 – 300 yards west of the bridge holding onto logs.
Rope bags were unsuccessful due to the distance from shore and swift current. Arrowhead deployed their boat and a rescue was made. The three were evaluated at the scene but refused going to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Bolivar also responded to a water rescue call Sunday night. Officials have not provided any details at this time.
