A 24-year-old New Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to felonious assault for ramming his pickup truck into his bicycle-riding adversary.

In exchange for Quintin Sarver’s plea, prosecutors dropped a more serious attempted murder charge. Sentencing is scheduled for August 26th . Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell said back in August 2024 Sarver caused severe injuries to then 42-year-old Dustin Bowe when he struck him with his pickup truck on East High Avenue in Goshen Township.

Campbell said there had been problems between the two, and Sarver accused Bowe of threatening him and stealing from him. Bowe underwent multiple surgeries for brain trauma and bone fractures and was wheelchair bound following the assault.
