Starting Monday a section of US 36 will be completely closed during daytime hours.
Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 Public Information Officer Lauren Borell says the roadway just east of Port Washington to the I-77 interchange will be closed weekdays from 7am to 5pm.
“To complete several culvert replacements along this stretch of roadway, so the road will be closed in both directions during daytime hours.”
Borell adds that a detour will be in place until the anticipated August 13th completion date.
“For folks traveling from the Newcomerstown area that will need to detour you will take I-77 north to US 250 east and then US 250 east to State Route 416 south and that will take you back to US 36, and that detour is in the reverse for folks coming from the Port Washington/Gnadenhutten area.”
