Rebecca Jo “Becky” Brimager, age 72, of Mineral City (Tabor Ridge), died early Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025, in the Hennis Care Center at Bolivar.
She was born September 26, 1952, in Dover, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Donald Joe and Regina (Montan) Paisley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Allen “Joe” Brimager, a brother, Daniel Paisley, and her son-in-law, Willard Kieffer, Jr.
Becky lived in the Tabor Ridge area the majority of her life and was a 1971 graduate of Tusky Valley High School. She was an employee of the former U.S. Ceramic Tile Company at East Sparta. After the tile plant shut down, she finished her working years at the M. K. Morse Company in Canton. Known as “Grandma Becky” to many, she found her joy in the company of her family and friends. She welcomed everyone into her life, and any stranger she encountered was not a stranger for long. Becky possessed an embracing sense of humor and made light of most situations. She loved to assemble jigsaw puzzles and had one underway most of the time. She had a strong affection for her pets, her dog Sassy and her two cats, Simba and Elsa.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie R. Kieffer of New Philadelphia, OH, her grandchildren Braison Arbogast and Skylie Arbogast, both of New Philadelphia, Ashley Kieffer, Vanessa Kieffer, and Melissa Kieffer, all of Canton, OH, Natalie Kieffer of Louisville, OH, and Thomas Brimager and Jed Brimager, both of Dennison, OH, and five special young people that she treated as her own grandkids David Best, Brennan Drescher, A. J. Bowsher, Taylor Price, and Preston Crites, her sister-in-law Anita Paisley and nephew Sean Paisley, both of Mineral City, and her very special friend, Shirley Latimer.
A public graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in the Mount Tabor Cemetery at Tabor Ridge, Mineral City with Pastor Richard Harvey officiating. Interment will follow services. There is no calling hours scheduled. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
