A familiar name took home the Reserve Grand Champion Market Beef title at Ohio State’s 2025 Fair.
Ohio AG NET caught up with 12-year-old Annistyn Oszust, who says she had a great showing with Moose.
“I think the judge like his legs or his belly a lot. He has a big belly, and his legs are super nice. He can be a little rowdy sometimes. He can be a little mean, but inside he knows he’s just a big bear and he loves being loved, and he just wants all the attention.”
Oszust has been showing for four years.
“And this is my third year showing at the state fair. It’s very nerve wracking when I first went in but then you get used to it and then it’s fund after that.”
Oszust gave some advice for other 4-her’s with a market beef.
“Definitely learned working with the animals and not just letting them go to waste and working with them a lot. For my younger siblings, I’ll help them and work with them a lot and help them show the best that they can.”
Her market beef sold for $55,000. In 2024, Oszust had the grand champion market beef at the state fair, which sold for $40,000.
