The Tuscarawas County Grand Jury has indicted a Uhrichsville man for attempted aggravated murder and other charges a month after authorities say he stalked and shot his ex-girlfriend.
44-year-old Carl Reynolds has been in the Tuscarawas County Jail on a 1-million-dollar bond since July 13th. That’s when Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell says he ambushed his ex-girlfriend and unloaded several shots from a long gun into the vehicle she was driving before she was able to drive away. The woman arrived at the Uhrichsville Police station with a bloody head injury.
At the time, Campbell said a bullet or bullet fragment had struck the woman and it wasn’t clear how Reynolds tracked down his ex-girlfriend.
The 8-felony-count indictment against Reynolds includes two counts of attempted aggravated murder with firearm specifications, both first-degree felonies. Other counts include felonious assault, menacing by stalking, illegal use of a tracking device or application, violating a protection order, retaliation and disrupting public service.
Reynolds’s attorney has filed a not guilty plea. No future court dates are listed.
