On average children outgrow their shoes every four to eight months and Operation Warm is searching for partnership organizations.

Data indicates that 64% of children wearing ill-fitting shoes. Partnership Director Rich Lalley says that’s a sign families are struggling to purchase new footwear.

“And without a good pair of shoes that’s fitting properly you’re going to be in pain and discomfort, and your ability to perform in school and your ability to participate in recess and physical activity is greatly diminished.”

Lalley notes they are always looking for partnering agencies for Operation Warm’s programs.

“Go to our website which is operationwarm.org. You can find information on how to become a community partner of ours. If you’re with a nonprofit or school that serves low-income children, we have a wish list application where people can apply to have a donation of shoes made to them.”

Operation Warm makes 12 different colors of shoes in their program for children between four to 11 years old.
