New Philadelphia Police say they responded to a single-vehicle crash early Saturday with an adult-male passenger dead inside the vehicle and no driver around.
This was just after 2 a.m. near South Broadway and Hilan Avenue Southwest.
Police say the driver fled the crash scene on foot but they were able to locate him and take him into custody a short time later.
Police were waiting to file formal charges and notify family members of the victim before releasing the two names.
