Claymont is hosting a fundraiser features a chicken BBQ available to eat-in or take-out.
The CARES initiative is to support District Employees who may need to take unexpected time off says Superintendent Brian Rentsch.
“The purpose of it is to help our staff whenever their in struggling situations that they can’t come to work or maybe their family is in some kind of major need that we’ve been able to help out.”
There are multiple options to get a ticket, like call 740-922-5478.
“We have them in central office, any building administrator has tickets as well. They are $15 for donations. It is a quarter chicken. We will also have chips, applesauce, a Texas Roadhouse roll, a cookie, and they’ll be drinks to purchase as well.”
The BBQ is on Friday, August 29th from 3:30 to 6:30pm at the Claymont Primary building, located at 1200 Eastport Avenue, next to the stadium.
