A Monday crash on US 250 was fatal for a 50-year-old.
Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post responded just after 3pm near the Harrison County line.
A release notes it was a two vehicle collision and the preliminary investigation determined a westbound Cadillac Deville went left of center and struck a eastbound Toyota Tacoma head on. The Toyota continued to travel and struck a guardrail, causing it to overturn.
The Cadillac driver, a 50-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver, a 67-year-old male, was transported to Mercy Hospital for unknown injuries.
OSP notes both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Drugs are believed to be a factor.
US 250 was closed for a couple of hours.
