Area non-profit organizations are coming together under one roof to recruit those willing to lend a helping hand.
The Volunteer Leaders in Action group is having its annual volunteer connect fair on September 24th from 4 to 6 pm at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center.
Chair Kim Harmon says about two dozen non-profits from the county will be there with information on volunteer positions that they’re currently attempting to fill.
Harmons says they’ve been hosting these events volunteer connect fairs about 10 years now, but attendance has started to lag.
Harmon says there will be refreshments and door prizes given out every 15 minutes at Wednesday’s volunteer connect fair.
