The State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia post says a passenger has now died from injuries sustained in a crash last month on i-77 south of stone creek.
81-year-old Naoma McKinney of north Ridgeville was taken to a canton hospital following the single-vehicle crash on September 26th. she was pronounced deceased on Tuesday.
Troopers say her 80-year-old husband, stated he fell asleep when the SUV he was driving went off the road, overturned, and struck a guardrail at approximately 11:15 a.m. that day in Jefferson township.
the patrol says Naoma was riding in the right front seat of the SUV and was not wearing a seat belt. troopers say the husband was wearing a seat belt and was also taken to a Canton hospital for his injuries.
