A new app is available through the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Orvis Campbell says downloaders will have access to concealed carry information, and sheriff sales.

“You’ll be able to see the inmate roster, but more so you’ll be able to register as a victim. If someone has victimized, you and is in jail with a click of a button you can register to know when they get released or transferred to another facility. Our warrant list is on there. Our sex offender information is on there.”

Campbell says the app will enable downloaders to also receive emergency notifications.

“Those notifications for things like storms or if we have a missing child, we need help in locating, or road closures things like that. Information you need right away. We won’t be using those notifications for daily things. We want you to know that when you get one of those it’s for something urgent.”

Campbell notes they partnered with Empower Tusc and the local ADAMHS Board for outreach for those struggling with addiction.

“And we want you to be able to reach out to those people to find out who could be the best to serve your loved one with the type of problem they have. Most of the time when mental health goes untreated it becomes much worse, so we want you to be encouraged and we want you to have someone real to call when you need help.”

The app features the local HOPE Line, 330-663-6812, which is staffed 24/7.
