New Philadelphia service director Ron McAbier is updating everyone on projects winding down and starting up in town.

McAbier was telling council this week the asphalt trucks will be moving out for the season as the 2025 city paving has been completed as of last week, and that crews still need to do some striping though on Front St. and Fair Ave. NW.

Mushrush utility contracting is also wrapping up its gas line project on the south side by Tuesday of next week. He says that follow up work for the gas line project should be completed by the third week of November.

Meanwhile, McAbier says the start date for the downtown quadrant rehabilitation work has been pushed back again, to now next Monday. It’s still supposed to be done though by September of next year.
