Tuscarawas County Public Library officials say they are grateful following the apparent passage of their 1-mill replacement levy for current expenses.

Director Michele Ramsell says passage means that the library will be able to continue to provide the materials, programs, and services that the community has come to rely upon.

“We’re really excited about the results as they look right now. Really excited that the voters have confidence in us and appear to have voted in favor of the levy. We’re excited about what that will mean in being able to continue providing the services the customers have come to rely upon.”

The levy passed with about 52.5 percent voter support, according to the unofficial results.
