An 11-count grand jury indictment accuses a 53-year-old Dover man of sexually abusing a child for 10 years starting when the child was 4 years old.
Christopher Arbogast is in the Tuscarawas County Jail on a 500-thousand dollar bond. Last week’s grand jury indictment in Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court includes four counts of rape, all first-degree felonies, and felony counts of sexual battery and gross sexual imposition.
The case is pending in Judge Elizabeth Thomakos’s courtroom.
Arbogast was also the victim of a swatting call in August. Dover police and other law enforcement agencies responded to an East Front Street home after getting a call reporting someone had harmed someone and was threatening others at his address. However, Arbogast was not there. The call turned out to be a hoax.
