She was an avid viewer of the old Gunsmoke Show. When not watching that, she would be found following The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
She is survived by two daughters, Traci DeBord of Jamestown, OH and Nikki (Mark) Nazaroff of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Tori (David) Hernandez, James Johnson, Matthew (Taylor, fiancé`) Johnson; she was awaiting the arrival of her two great grandbabies due to arrive at the beginning of the new year; and her brother, Edward (Linda) Harper of New Philadelphia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Donna (Bob) Morris.
Services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with Rev. David Lathrop officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Jefferson, OH. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 PM at the funeral home in Sugarcreek and are requested by Barb to dress in their OSU attire and be comfortable in honor of her.
Barb’s final request is, that due to her allergy to flowers over the years, she would like new TOYS and BOARD GAMES be sent in her memory instead of flowers. They will then be donated and distributed to the area charities in time for CHRISTMAS.
