M. Jane (Fouts) Dinger, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Hennis Care Centre, surrounded by her loved ones following a lengthy illness.
Jane was born on June 26th, 1947, in Uhrichsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Lena (Morrow) Fouts. She was a 1965 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. On September 24th, 1967, she married the love of her life, Harold W. Dinger, who preceded her in death.
For more than 20 years, Jane worked at Fundays Rootbeer Stand in Dover, where her friendly smile, quick wit and welcoming personality made a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Jane enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved working on puzzles, playing cards and fishing with her family. She had a personality that was unforgettable-stubborn as ever, funny in the best ways and delightfully in appropriate with her sense of humor. Her quick wit and bold spirit kept everyone laughing, even during the toughest times.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle (Chris) Karr and Cathi Dinger-Lose; her grandchildren Taylor (Seth) Bailey, Tyler Karr, Braden (Emma) Karr, Presleigh Lezotte, Zoey Lose; great grandchildren Bria and Braxton Bailey; her siblings Ronnie Fouts and Norma Phillips, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; son-in-law Mark Lose; her brother Floyd Fouts and her sisters Shirley White and Sylvia Fouts.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th, 2025, from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., with the Pastor Jim Manbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia, O.
Fellowship will follow services at Newport Church.
