Olive A. Eick, age 87, a lifetime Sherrodsville, Ohio area resident, died Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026, in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat at Carrollton.

She was born July 26, 1938, on the family farm where she lived all of her life.  Olive was the daughter of the late Oliver Milo and Cleda (Moreland) Eick.   She was a 1956 graduate of Conotton Valley High School.  She was a faithful member of the former Bethesda Lutheran Church at Sherrodsville.  Olive spent her life living and working on the family farm with her parents and her sisters. Olive was quite fond of the various cats that she and her sisters housed throughout the years.  Her sisters were her constant companions during her lifetime.  

She is survived by her last remaining sister, Norma J. Eick, with whom she resided, a nephew, Calvin Guenzler of Waterford, Wisconsin, a niece, Denise Weaver of Northville, Michigan and a number of great- nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters Mildred L Eick, Marie Carmin, and Pearl Dorothy Guenzler, and two nephews Oliver Guenzler and Herbert Guenzler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Pastor Dan Parson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery near Sherrodsville.  There is no calling hours scheduled, although friends may visit prior to the service.  To leave an online condolence message, please visit the funeral home website.
