Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio is giving examples of the kids on its waiting list hoping to be paired up with mentors and their diverse interests.

Director of marketing and recruitment Olivia Scally says the agency has a “waiting littles” wall on its website with profiles of the kids and a list of their hobbies.

She says one in particular, named Giovanni, is an 11-year-old boy who should be matched with an aviation enthusiast.

Scally says people wanting to serve as “bigs” can stop by the organization’s office at New Towne Mall or visit the website bigs4kids.com.

Scally says mentors are asked to spend four hours a month with their littles.

Parents or teachers refer the kids to the agency as children who could use a positive influence in their lives.
