The Tuscarawas Valley School Board is being recognized for their contribution to the district.
January is School Board Appreciation Month. At this month’s meeting, students from the 21st Century After School Program presented each board member with a picture frame of photos the student took. The phots spell out thank you, says Andrea Clements.
“Serving as unpaid volunteers you balance community values with district needs. Your dedication involves critical listening, continuous learning, strategic policy making, ensuring accountability, and acting as citizen leaders for our districts future.”
Superintendent Derek Varansky also voiced his appreciation for the time board members spend on reviewing documents, attending meetings, and staying informed on legislative updates involving schools.
Current board members are Amy Burrier, Sally Green, Adam Fisher, Ben Overton, and Morgan Tolotti.
