Raymond H. Morris, 84, of Coshocton, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Coshocton Regional Medical Center. Raymond was born in Oberlin to the late Lester and Grace (Braun) Morris.
Raymond graduated in 1960 from Oberlin High School. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1961 to May 1966. He attended Loraine Community College until he was hired as an Engineer at RIDGID Tool in Elyria where he holds two patents. He then went on to work at I.F. Manufacturing in Dover, then to Fabri-form in Byesville until February 1994 he founded his company, M&W Plastics Recycling LTD in West Lafayette, where he retired in 2009.
Raymond faithfully attended St. Francis De Sales Church and Sacred Heart Church in Coshocton. Raymond took many vacations by train; he loved trains, loved his family and spending time with and talking on the phone with his family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling, farming and going to Wheeling to play slots and watch the dog races. Raymond was an avid fisherman and believed everything could be fixed with duct tape and bailing twine. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Coshocton.
Raymond was married to Jane (Chappell) on February 1, 1964, who passed away on August 30, 2018. He then married Lynn Lauvray on May 26, 2022, who survives. In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by his children, Michele (Dave) Westhafer of Newcomerstown, Beth Root of Newark, Christine (Alvin) Cutwright of Rice’s Landing, PA, Laura Bridges (John Tanner) of Dover; grandchildren, Justine, Melissa, Ashley, Josh, Jennifer, Jacinda, David, Dustin, Megan, Devin, and Tyler; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lester and Bob Morris, Harriet Swit; many loved nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Pearl Morris; brother-in-law, Steve (Ann) Lauvray. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill Morris and Sara Hartwig.
A Funeral Service will be held for Raymond H. Morris on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Addy Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. A burial will be held at a later date at West Lawn Cemetery.
