Dover’s mayor is crediting two city employees with saving the life of a coworker.
Mayor Shane Gunnoe says general services employees Jon Ladrach and Brody Ferrell were fueling their vehicles on January 22nd when co-worker Aiden Barrett slipped on some ice and was knocked unconscious.
The fall caused an obstruction in his throat that cut off his breathing. Gunnoe says Ferrell cleared the obstruction and Ladrach performed CPR to restore Barrett’s breathing until paramedics arrived.
Barrett is back on the job.
Gunnoe and City Council are creating a resolution to commend the two employees and recognize them at a future meeting.
