A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise money for the couple who lost everything in a house fire in Dundee Monday morning.
Family members say Larry Phillabaum and Erin Walton are awake and recovering at a Cleveland medical center after escaping the fire by jumping from a porch roof at the house in the 67-hundred block of state Route 93. The State Fire Marshall is still investigating the cause.
The GoFundMe account is called “Support Larry and Erin After the House Fire.” As of early Tuesday afternoon, it had raised just over $3,000 toward an $11,000 goal.
It says they lost everything, including vehicles, cell phones and more.
The GoFundMe page says both Phillabaum and Walton took in a lot of smoke and Phillabuam is severely burnt on his face, arms, hands and leg.
The goal is to offset what they lost and help pay for medical bills as both will be out of work for a bit. It also asks for clothing donations, with sizes provided.
