Mary Grace Miller, 100, of Sugarcreek, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following a period of declining health.
She was born in Becks Mills on July 21, 1925, to the late William and Irene Conkle and married Dennis Devon Miller on October 13, 1946. He died on February 10, 2013.
She was a graduate of Clark High School, was a former member of the First Mennonite Church in Sugarcreek and was a member of Grace Church in Berlin.
Mary Grace is survived by her son, Errol Stanley (Kathlene) Miller of New Hampshire; two sons-in-law Denny Oxender of Bluffton, Ohio and Frank Smith of Aurora, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Kendra (Daniel Brown) Huber of Aurora, Colorado, Kyle (Dana) Smith of Arvada, Colorado, Kalina (Isaiah) Schloneger of Medford, Massachusetts, Luke (Becca Spellman) Oxender of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin; grandson-in-law Myles Bowers; great grandson Fynn Schloneger and was awaiting the arrival this summer of her great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her 2 daughters Cathy Lynn Smith and Jolene Dee Oxender; granddaughter Victoria “Tori” Bowers and sister Mildred (Clarence) Troyer.
Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11 AM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home prior to services.
