A project to bring new equipment to Tuscora Park is shy of roughly $60,000.
New Philadelphia Mayor Joel Day is making another push to close the funding gap for the Inclusive Playground Project at Tuscora Park. He says the effort is moving forward, but the project still needs about $66,000 to reach its goal.
Day says donations can be made to the Tuscora Park Foundation’s PayPal page. That can be accessed in the February 24th post on the City of New Philadelphia’s Facebook Page with the mayor’s report. He says to select the foundation’s general fund from the drop-down list when donating and leave a note saying it’s for the inclusive playground.
Construction on the new inclusive playground is scheduled to begin this spring. He says organizers spearheading the project will also keep applying for grants through local foundations to make up the funding shortfall.
