A community breakfast this weekend will once again honor the memory of Buckeye Career Center educator Shannon Wigfield—one of the victims of the 2023 Tusky Valley charter bus tragedy.
The second annual Shannon Wigfield Scholarship Breakfast and basket auction will be held Saturday from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at Buckeye Career Center. Organizers and fellow educators Kat Bundy and Jennifer Robinson say the event has become a meaningful way to celebrate Wigfield’s life and the impact she had on students.
Proceeds allow the Buckeye Career Center Foundation to award a $2,500 scholarship in Wigfield’s name to a graduating senior.
Tickets are ten dollars and will be available at the door while supplies last. Pre-sale tickets have also been offered through Bundy and Robinson at the school, as well as through the Shannon Wigfield Scholarship Facebook page.
