Danny was born October 18, 1942, in Mudsock, Ohio to the late Floyd and Alma (Kees) Kinsey. He was a 1960 graduate of Port Washington High School. He retired from Gen Corp after over thirty-three years and went on to do maintenance at Bates Metal in his retirement. Danny was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington and was a consistory member; he also volunteered much of his time and expertise to the church building and congregation. He was a well-rounded maintenance man and there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He loved dancing, especially ballroom dancing, and travelled all over the U.S. with his wife Beverly to dance. He was active in all sports in school and continued his love of sports throughout his life, especially college basketball; he was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He was also a trap shooter and in many clubs. Danny loved sitting on his front porch rocking chair and loved his backyard orchard and grafting and cross-pollinating his apple trees. He also enjoyed making homemade wine and loved riding motorcycles for many years. Danny was a farm boy himself growing up. He enjoyed going on rides and going out to eat. He loved enjoying Amish country and taking in the sights, especially in the fall.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Martin) Kinsey, who he married on April 2, 1960. Danny passed one day before their 66th anniversary. He is also survived by his children Barbara Lynn Kinsey, Danny Allen (Lorinda) Kinsey, both of Newcomerstown and Brenda Ann (James) Rankin of Wilkshire Hills; his grandchildren Eddie and Heather Fishel, Derrick Kinsey, Danny (Rachel) Kinsey, Ryan (Dolly) Kinsey, Lydia (Greg) Fach, and Jonathan Rankin; his great-grandchildren William, Braedon, Asher, Kaylyn, Malakai, Annabella, Khloee, Charlotte, Brooklyn, Wilder, and Lilly; as well as many other extended family members.
