
Details have been released in a Monday fatal accident involving two vehicles.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post was dispatched at about 1:13pm to Stonecreek Road, north of Circle Drive in York Township.
Investigators release that a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis was southbound when it traveled left of center and struck a northbound Toyota Highlander head on. The Highlander went to the right side of the road and hit a guardrail.
The Mercury was being driven by 24-year-old Dalton Miller, of West Lafayette, who was pronounced deceased on scene. A 21-year-old passenger, also from West Lafayette, was transported by ambulance with unknown injuries. OSP says both were wearing seatbelts.
The Toyota was being driven by a 33-year-old from New Philadelphia, who was transported for unknown injures. Her two-year-old son was treated and released to a family member. Both were in proper restraints.
The crash remains under investigation.
